Card Making Nights

So, at the end of January, a lovely friend from church asked about the possibility of getting a group of ladies together once a month to make cards. Of course I loved the idea! So I started asking around. At first it seemed like it would be difficult to make up a group bigger than the two of us, by the time we had our first card making night, we had 6 of us there! By April, the group had grown to 9 of us. And this past Sunday, another lady approached me out of the blue- I didn't know she had any interest in card making! With a group of 10, we might have to divide it to two nights. But for now, not everyone can make it each time, so we'll see how it goes.
Here are the cards we made in February:
Using 'Curly Cute'(retired) for the sentiment, and 'Simply Stars' as the focus, this is a great CAS card.
Simply Stars retires at the end of this month, so get it while you can!

So, I was planning to cut the heart out of the glimmer paper with my heart die from the 'Hearts a Flutter' dies, and then attach it to the front of the rich razzleberry card. But once I cut the heart out, inspiration struck. After seeing the heart shaped hole left behind, I thought it would be fun to die cut the small heart out of the rich razzleberry instead, and put some glimmer paper behind the hole. Once I had cut the heart out of the glimmer paper, I discovered that it popped right into the hole- how cute! I just added some regular scotch tape on the inside to keep it from falling out. I finished it off with a heat embossed sentiment from 'Fabulous Phrases".

Inspired by the challenge at the Stampin' Up! Only blog, I created this CAS card. I love colouring images on Crumb Cake card stock! This lovely bird is from the Hostess set, 'Simply Sketched".

Using the heart die again, and my fun 'Petite Pennants' stamps & punch, I quickly whipped up this little valentine. That's the freebie DSP from the year's Sale-a-bration flyer. Love it!

I just love Splitcoaststampers and Pinterest- such great resources for ideas! Someone made a similar little cutie using a polka dot EF and the 'Thoughts & Prayers' stamp set.

Thanks for looking! I'll share March's cards soon!
